This Privacy Policy explains how AZIZANOVA (“we”, “us”, “our”), the online journal published at azizanova.com, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit the site or contact us.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is the publisher of AZIZANOVA, based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@azizanova.com.

2. What data we collect

Contact form and email: your name, email address, enquiry type, company or publication, website or social link, and the content of your message.
Comments: if comments are enabled, the name, email and comment you submit, plus your IP address and browser information used for spam prevention.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and time of visit, collected automatically by our hosting provider in server logs and by cookies (see section 6).
Newsletter (The AZIZANOVA Letter): if you subscribe, your email address, your name (optional), the date and time of subscription and confirmation, and whether you open our emails. We use double opt-in, so you confirm your subscription by email.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data, and the site is not directed at children under 16.

3. How and why we use your data

To reply to your enquiries, pitches, contributor applications and partnership requests (based on your request and our legitimate interest in running the publication).
To operate, secure and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse (legitimate interest).
To send the AZIZANOVA Letter, an email when a new story is published, to subscribers who have confirmed their subscription (your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
To measure audience and site performance in aggregate, if analytics are enabled (your consent, where required).
To comply with legal obligations.

We never sell your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the site, under appropriate agreements:

Hostinger – website hosting and email (servers located in the European Union).
WPForms – processes contact form submissions on our own site.
Icegram Express – manages newsletter subscriptions; subscriber data is stored in our own website database.
Analytics or additional email providers, if added in future; this policy will be updated to name them.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Our website is hosted on servers in the European Union. If you contact us from outside the EU, your data will be transferred there. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies needed for the site to work (for example, security and caching). If we add analytics, advertising or embedded content (such as YouTube or Instagram), those services may set their own cookies, and we will ask for your consent where required. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting collaboration, and generally no longer than 24 months afterwards. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our host. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Comments are kept until removed.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Personal Data” and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@azizanova.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

The site uses HTTPS encryption and reputable hosting. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Links to other websites

Our articles may link to other websites, brands and booking platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
