I want to share my experience of flying to Baku from Tashkent on Azerbaijani Airlines in business class. I went straight to the CIP lounge at Tashkent Airport — check-in was really smooth and quick. The waiting area was calm, clean, and offered good food options, which made the pre-flight experience very pleasant. The only slightly confusing part was that we all boarded the plane together — I think that might have been due to the airport’s procedures rather than the airline itself.
I had a window seat with plenty of legroom, a pillow, and a blanket waiting for me. Shortly after boarding, the steward came around offering drinks and snacks, which made the start of the flight feel comfortable and welcoming.
After takeoff, she brought the menu, which included appetizers, a main course, desserts, and a wine list. I was also given an iPad for movies and a pair of earphones — a thoughtful touch that made the trip feel even more relaxed.

I ordered the chicken cutlet, but honestly, the appetizers were so filling and delicious that I couldn’t finish the main course. I ended my meal with a cup of Azerbaijani tea and a chocolate dessert, which was the perfect way to wrap up the flight.
Overall, the four-hour flight was very pleasant. The crew were kind and attentive, and I don’t think it was just because I was flying business class. On my return flight, I sat in economy, and the service was just as warm and polite — though, of course, business class has its own perks.
It was a smooth and enjoyable experience that made the start of my first trip to Baku really special. After all, the journey to a new destination often begins with the cabin that takes you there — and this one set the tone perfectly.
